Brian Gallant

Brian has been climbing for over years and currently lives in Colorado Springs, CO. His favorite sports climbing areas are Rifle and Yosemite.

His most challenging send has been a 5.13 and his most difficult boulder problem has been a V9. In his short history, Brian has placed third or better in 64 of his 125 climbing competitions. In 2004 Brian took first place at both the 2004 Royal Gorge Go Fast Games and the REI/Black Diamond Climb for Life.

When asked why he uses Maxim Dynamic Ropes, Brian replied

"The reason I trust my life to Maxim Ropes, is because they are the most durable ropes on the market, they are light (which helped me send one of my longest projects ever! I needed everything I could get to help me send that route and the light weight Maxim Rope definitely helped, Thanks!). They are also awesome as far as handling and they work well with all belay devices (I use the Trango Cinch and it works great!). It also handles very well while clipping draws.

"I used it on some big wall in Yosemite as well and the great thing was that it didn't seem to knot up during all the rope management we needed to do on multi-pitch routes.

"I would like to thank everyone at Maxim that makes it possible for me to have such a great rope! After all, the rope is one of the only single point of failure gear we use, and the last thing I want in the back of my head, is to wonder whether or not my rope will hold me! I have too many other things to worry about, like how in the world am I going to hold my body weight on the half-pad, two finger crimp! Thanks Maxim!"
